- Hosta 'Crusader' emerges in spring with blue-green leaves and a nice yellow margin.
- These colors do not last long and by mid-summer the leaves are a shiny dark green and the margins fade to creamy-white.
- Leaves are slightly cupped with wavy margins and some good corrugation.
- A mature clump is quite attractive with the leaves twisting and rolling in all directions.
- H. 'Crusader' is a rapid grower that does best in moderate shade. Exposure to strong sun produces a metallic sheen on the leaf surface.
- Pale lavender flowers put on a show in late summer .
